Well, I started doing nothing There all by myself Started thinking something That created something else And it was mine, mine all mine That thought was mine, mine all mine Then I started feeling happy I started feeling fine Cause I’d figured out that thing I made was truly mine all mine Yes it was mine, mine all mine That thought was mine, mine all mine So I ran away to nowhere Far out beyond the crowds I sang my song to someone I sang it right out loud And it was mine, Mine all mine That song was mine, Mine all mine The tempo of the time These thoughts inside my mind The love I’ve yet to find Will soon be mine Yes mine all mine See I keep on dreaming of you For your hand, I pine I’ve realized I love you Your heart is my design May it be mine? Mine all mine Can it be mine? Mine all mine Well I ran away to find you Chills ran down my spine As I crept up right up behind you And I asked you to be mine Will you be mine? Mine all mine Say you’ll be mine, mine all mine The tempo of the time These thoughts inside my mind The love I’ve yet to find Is surely mine Yes mine all mine!

Keys 04:02
Finished the party in a fog My pint had long since lost its frost Wandered the compound like a dog Just searching for the keys that I had lost When I found them in the freezer That’s when my ol’ friend shook her head Said I‘d be staying just to please her Went outside looking for my ride instead And when I found it on that back street I stumbled blindly to my car As I fell fast into that driver’s seat I knew I wouldn’t drive too far... Put the keys in the ignition And turned that radio full blast It was my drunken intuition That set my weary head down on that dash Put the keys in the ignition Fell asleep there in that seat behind the wheel I didn’t even ask permission I always act exactly as I feel The next day when my friends had found me Oh they were so relieved to see I’d stayed They came and circled all around me They thought I might have driven to my grave When my friends had finally found me They were so over-joyed to see I’d stayed They wrapped their loving arms around me They thought I might had driven to my grave I put the keys in the ignition I turned that radio full blast My night had come to its fruition My dreams of driving myself home had passed I put the keys in the ignition I fell asleep there in that seat behind the wheel I didn’t even ask permission I always act exactly as I feel

Woke up on the floor Crawled up to the door Pushed myself into the light I could not retrace My steps unto this place No familiar face in sight I need to find my own direction I got no cards in hand to play I’ll take the path of introspection Getting home is getting harder every day Tried to take a bus Got my numbers crossed Found myself lost on the tracks Strangers point the way Soul in disarray I’m too far gone now to get back I need to find my own direction I got no cards in hand to play I choose the path of introspection Getting home is getting harder every day Some say that home is where the heart is Can’t seem to locate mine right now Seems to me the toughest part is knowing where to look and learning how I need to find my own direction I got no cards left now to play My path’s the path of introspection Getting home is getting harder every day Wound up on a train Whirring through the rain People chatter, this and that Remember what we had Times when we were glad Your bed side rose is in my hat I’ve got to find my own direction I got no cards in hand to play My path’s the path of introspection Getting home is getting harder every day

Wild Iris 04:11
Wild Iris is weeping As she walks through the pines She’s grieving her father Who died in the mines She’s missing her mother Who’s gone like the wind and She’s thinking ‘bout freedom Survival and sin Wild Iris is waking At the break of the dawn She’s aching for her lover Who’s been gone too long She dances with heartbreak Just like it’s a friend and She wishes tomorrow Might not come again Wild Iris is waiting At the top of the hill She’s mixing the moonshine That flows through her still And all those lost souls With their hours to kill Come to sip from her spirit At the top of the hill Wild Iris is waning By the light of the moon She’s thinking about packing and Leaving real soon She whispers her sorrows Out into the sky and She waits on somebody To tell her goodbye Wild Iris is waltzing At the edge of the night She’s searching for something To make her soul right She’s picking the flowers That gave her her name But no one can pick her She’ll never be tame

WHAT I’LL FIND Today’s my day to take the time Smell the roses on the vine Sip the sun as I wake up and Taste the tea that’s in my cup Disconnect the world wide web and Focus on my world instead Leave my nightmares in my bed and Welcome dreams inside my head When I give my thoughts Some good intention Take today one moment at a time I wonder what I’ll find... Won’t worry over come what may I’ll go out and enjoy the day Do my job, I’ll do it right No need to fuss, no need to fight Put down my phone and read the light That’s glowing from the moon at night Troll through my town and greet the beat From all the buskers in the street I’ll cross my bridges as I come to them Pause in the middle for a view Take all my wishes and I’ll toss them in Not expecting that they all are coming true I’ll heed the music as it comes to me and Let my words spill out in time Gain inspiration from good company and When the rhythm conjures up a rhyme I wonder what I’ll find... I’ll make a pact with my own self To go and help somebody else Spread some cheer and share a smile Release my ego for a while Let go of fear, let go of hate Latch on to something to create Use all the gifts I’ve got for good and Be the person that I should When I’m not in awe I’m not paying attention When I stop wasting all my time I wonder what I’ll find...

I'M DONE I’m done with this Yeah I’m done with me Being someone I don’t want to be and I’m done with trying hard to stop Done with dodging till I drop I’m done with this and I’m done with you Pretending you know what to do Telling me to do it too I’m done, I’m done, I’m done I’m done My dear I’m outta here, I’m done Yes I said I’m done So stick a fork in me, I’m done I’m done with this Yeah I’m done with sad I’m also done with feeling bad Cause you’re the one that makes me mad I’m done, I’m done, I’m done I’m done with this Yeah I’m done with you Pretending that you’re hurt and blue And making me feel guilty too I’m done, I’m done, I’m done I’m walking out on all those words You think I need to hear And all your hyped-up stories Of those messed up yesteryears And you can’t even stop me With your histrionic tears Because I’m done with you my dear I’m outta here I’m done I’m done with this, yeah I’m done with us And I don’t need you to make a fuss ‘Bout all those broken promises Those feelings we might mend I’m done with this, yeah I’m done with us Don’t need you to scream or cuss ‘Bout all those hours wasted for Our time is at an end I’m walking out on all those words You think I need to hear And all your hyped-up stories Of our messed up yesteryears And you can’t even stop me With those histrionic tears Because I’m done with you my dear I’m outta here I’m done I’m good as gone Now don’t you call for me Cuz I won’t come... Phoenix 03:11
PHOENIX Burst into flame when I hear your name That sweet refrain heats up my brain I’m rising from the ashes honey Into that smokey sky above Burst into flames and I feel that pain You know what they say, “No pain, no gain” Burst into flames. I hear your name That sweet refrain heats up my brain I’m rising from the ashes honey Into that smokey sky above Burst into flames But I rise again cause I’m a Phoenix for your love You wandered over Lit the fuse of my desire You touched me once You set my soul on fire I can’t contain this precious flame Always the same and you are to blame I’m rising from the ashes honey Into that smokey sky above Burst into flames But I rise again cause I’m a Phoenix for your love You wandered over Lit the fuse of my desire You kissed me once You set my soul on fire I can’t contain this precious flame Always the same. You are to blame I’m rising from the ashes honey Into that smokey sky above Burst into flames I rise again cause I’m a Phoenix for your love

Lazy Daze 03:02
Hanging in a hammock At a lazy river’s mouth The afternoon is over But it sure ain’t going south You know I‘ll never quit my Hammock-hanging ways That’s because I love these Slowdown lazy days Slow down, low down lazy daze Sittin’ on a jetty At an open harbor’s door The sunset may be over But that sky glows more and more You know I‘ll never quit my Star-struck gazing ways That’s because I love these Slowdown lazy days Slow down, low down lazy daze Standing in the ocean Sand beneath my toes Looking at that pelican Watching where it goes You know I‘ll never quit my Shorebird staring ways That’s because I love these Slowdown lazy days Slow down, low down lazy daze Strumming on a guitar Making up a tune Plucking on the mandolin Singing night to noon Ya know I’ll never quit my Music making ways That’s because I love these Slowdown lazy days Slow down, low down lazy daze

Coasting down the Lost Coast. Yeah, that’s the coast I like the most. Coasting down the Lost Coast. Oh, that’s the coast I like the most. Headin’ to San Francsco with absolutely nothing to do. I met this hippie guitarist. Smoked all of my American Sprit Blues So I drove down to Sedona looking for some native song and dance. Drove down to Sedona hoping to find me some native song and dance. Went driving ‘cross that dessert. That sun looked just like a bruise. As it bounced off that new casino, I got those American Spirit Blues So I ambled into Austin. I was hoping to put myself at ease. Ambled straight to Austin hoping to set my mind at ease. Then I got drunk on ol’ 6th street. There were too many sounds to choose. I got back in my Toyota pick-up with those American Spirit Blues. So I rode on into Rosine, the birth place of Bill Monroe. Rode straight into Rosine. I was looking for the ghost of Bill Monroe. Yes I went where the grass was bluer, it just wasn’t a hue I’d choose. I guess I’m searching for something new, I’ve got those American Spirit Blues. So I pushed on into Avalon searching hard for Hurt’s home. Pushed on into Avalon, Mississippi John Hurt’s home. You know that Mr. Mississippi had absolutely nothing to prove. He just played his own brand of music: Those American Spirit Blues. I guess I gotta head back home. Maybe I should have never roamed. It’s about time I head back home. I’m so damn tired of being alone. Yes it’s time that I cruise on back to Santa Cruz. I hear there’s lots of happy people there with those American Spirit Blues.

Well I went to a fair on a mighty fine day Saw your smiling face looking my way Hoping and praying I could get you near Started out pourin’ that blackberry beer Oh blackberry beer, blackberry beer I gotta stop drinking that blackberry beer Well we closed down that fair on a very drunk night Caressing and undressing in the queasy moonlight You told me a story that I didn’t wanna hear Why‘d I start drinking that blackberry beer? Oh blackberry beer, blackberry beer I gotta stop drinking that blackberry beer You went and told me a story that I didn’t wanna hear and that Sticky little secret got stuck in my ear I gotta walk around keeping it year after year Oh man, you got me paranoid and racked with fear Over that stupid little story I didn’t want to hear I‘ve gotta stop drinking that blackberry beer Oh we lumbered down the lane ‘Til we were out in the clear I was feeling like I wanted to smack you dear Was trying hard to snarl but I could barely sneer Started crying out tears of blackberry beer Blackberry beer, blackberry beer I‘ve gotta stop drinking that blackberry beer Cause you told me a story I didn’t wanna hear That sticky little secret got stuck in my ear I gotta walk around keeping it year after year Oh man, you got me paranoid and racked with fear Over that stupid little story I didn’t want to hear I’ve gotta stop drinking that blackberry beer So I’m awake in your bed on the very next day wishing your smiling face would just go away Hoping and a praying I can get outta here I gotta stop drinking that blackberry beer Oh blackberry beer, blackberry beer I‘ve gotta stop drinking that - Oh blackberry beer, blackberry beer I‘ve gotta stop drinking that black berry Blackberry beer, blackberry beer, I‘ve gotta stop drinking that blackberry beer

Just now I saw you The way that I saw you The first time I laid eyes on you Your hair in the bar light Your hand I shook so tight The first time I laid eyes on you I wanted you right off I tried hard to fight off That yearning deep inside I tried to pretend I might just be a friend But my love I couldn’t hide And just now I saw you The way that I saw you The first time I laid eyes on you Your body so slender Your lips sweet and tender The first time I laid eyes on you I wanted you right off I tried hard to fight off That yearning in my heart My spirit on fire That instant desire To never be apart And just now I saw you The way that I saw you The first time I laid eyes on you You were smiling so sweetly And I loved you completely The first time I laid eyes on you

Fall Fell 03:10
Fall fell hard this year Woke up in a puddle of tears Flailing round and sinking down Feeling like I’m bout to drown Fall fell hard this year Found myself in a funnel of fears Spinning round and spilling down Like that leaf that just hit the ground Fall fell hard and I fell too Why‘d I have to fall so hard for you? Fall fell hard this year Feeling like I’m slipping my gears I‘m skidding round, I’m slowing down Trying to roll myself out of this town Fall fell hard and I fell too Tell me why‘d I have to fall so hard for you? Why‘d I have to fall so hard for you? Why‘d I have to fall so hard for you? Winter’s near and it’s damp and dark Mope around searching for a spark To light my way through the cutting cold Ain’t getting nowhere but old Ain’t getting nowhere but old Fall fell hard this year Ever since you went away dear Since you left I feel like I’m dying I spend my whole day lying around crying Fall fell hard and I fell too Tell me why‘d I have to fall so hard for you? Why‘d I have to fall so hard for you? Why‘d I have to fall so hard for you? Fall fell hard and I fell too...

Lost inside the neon Of a dance floor at a bar Lies and smoke and mirrors In the dash light of a car I guess we’ve been roaming But we didn’t get too far Let’s wait until the sunrise Wait until the sunrise I think we’ll see the light Wait until the sunrise Our hearts will shine so bright Don’t you even think of leaving In the middle of the night Wait until the sunrise I’ve been searching through the darkness For a sweeter hand to hold Sifting through the shadows For a heart that’s made of gold Let’s just stop this wandering Through the ruins of the road And wait until the sunrise Yes, wait until the sunrise I think we’ll see the light Wait until the sunrise Our hearts will shine so bright Don’t you even think of leaving In the middle of the night, no Wait until the sunrise Now I’ve been a lot of places Can’t tell you where or why I’ve seen a lot of faces But your’s lights up the sky So stay with me tonight And let me stare into your eyes And wait until the sunrise Wait until the sunrise I know we’ll see the light Wait until the sunrise Our hearts will shine so bright Don’t you even think of leaving In the middle of the night, no no Wait until the sunrise
